Christopher Todd Frye

I have had the privilege of serving as the State Botanist for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources since 1996. In addition to my service to the DNR I am a PhD student in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Maryland-College Park. My research focuses on the dynamics of plant mating systems, particularly their relationships with population genetic and spatial landscape structure. I am focusing on central-Appalachian Shale Barren plants, which offer multiple umbrella organisms for study.
